VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME

Support Group Facilitators

Are you ready to make a difference in the life of a grieving child or teen? Our volunteers are one of our greatest resources!  Volunteers help facilitate all grief support groups at our center. Volunteers working with our children and teens work under the supervision of our program director.

โ€‹

  • All facilitators go through an intense 35 hour training before being placed in a support group.

  • Volunteer facilitators are asked to make a commitment of one year to the program.

  • A background check is done on each volunteer to ensure the safety our children, families and volunteers.

โ€‹

Interested in learning more? Give us a call to chat! The next step after an initial phone call is to complete an application. When we have the need for more facilitators, we will invite you in for an interview. (typically we onboard new facilitators every 2-3 years) After the interview if we both decide to move forward we would complete a reference and background check.
